  武当太极 Wudang Tai Chi

  太极拳 Tai Chi

Based on Tai Chi and the dialectical philosophy of Yin and Yang in Chinese Confucianism and Taoism, it is a traditional Chinese boxing to get refined internally and externally by combining the change of Yin and Yang and five elements of yi-ology, science of channels and collaterals of traditional Chinese medical science and Chinese physical and breathing exercises. Being soft, slow, brisk, tough and gentle, it helps to keep fit, defend attack and mold character.
One of its great characteristics is to defend attack. It calls for coping with all motions by remaining motionless, overcoming hardness with softness, dwelling on the abstract and avoid real issues and transforming the coming force to attack the opponent. It advocates to start from objectives which means following others induces agility and self-deciding brings hysteresis. Striking only after being struck let opponent come to nothing because of weightlessness or split-up opponent’s strength so as to fight back with all the strength by taking advantage of a weak point.

  太极剑 Tai Chi Sword

Being one of the important contents of Tai Chi Quan movement, Tai Chi Sword combines the characteristics of Tai Chi Quan and swordsmanship. On the one hand, it needs to be agile and continuous and concentrate on mind instead of strength. On the other hand, it needs to express the art of fencing, which is grace, elegance, clear and unity of form and spirit.

  太极推手 Pushing Hands

Being the same as Di Jia, Swift Quan, line of play work, it is one of the organic components of traditional Tai Chi Quan. It supplements the widespread Wen Lian such as Zhong Jia, Slow Quan and Push Hands.
Boxing posture is extending, changeful and marvelous, which exercises mind, viscera, physique and muscle. It absorbs Peng (warding off), Lv (rolling back), Ji (pressing), An (pushing), Cai (pulling down), Lie (splitting), Zhou (elbowing). The five elements (earth, water, metal, fire and wood) and the eight diagrams (eight combinations of three whole or broken lines formerly used in divination) are used to temper ten kinds of Quan.

  松溪太极拳 Songxi Tai Chi

Song Xi Tai Chi Quan, also called South Wu Dang Tai Chi Quan, is another ancient internal, whose movement is simple and unsophisticated. Its art of attack and defense is very high because fighting and grappling always come together and attack and defense are stressed in every movement and gesture. It is soft and flexible when exercising just like floating clouds and flowing water. Featuring in powerful form and meaning of Tai Chi Waist and Eight Diagrams Step, it alternates kindness with severity and combines tardiness and urgency.
